Lock your vehicle at night

Over this past weekend 5 unlocked vehicles were broken into and property was taken from some of them. These incidents occured in the West End of Town, on Elmwood, Harrington, Warren and Carroll. Please make sure you lock your vehicle to prevent these type of crimes.

Charges to be filed in basketball game incident

The Watertown Police Department has concluded the investigation in regards to the incident between the two scorekeepers during the Watertown High and Lexington High basketball game on Monday 2/2/09. The WPD was able to obtain a video of the incident. The video shows an argument between the two scorekeepers. The Watertown scorekeeper then removes a cap from his water bottle and tosses water on the Lexington scorekeeper. The Lexington scorekeeper immediately retaliates by punching the Watertown scorekeeper in the head. Both scorekeepers will be summonsed into Waltham District Court for a show cause hearing for assault and battery charges.
