While on patrol Officer Kenneth Delaney observed a broken bay window at the Belmont Auto Clinic on October 26, 2008 at approximately midnight. Officers Brown and Dinjian along with Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese responded to assist Officer Delaney. The owner of the clinic was called to the scene to verify any missing property. Using the owner’s key the officers unlocked an office and located the breaking and entering suspect hiding therein. This suspect was arrested and property stolen from the garage was found on his person. He has been charged with Breaking and Entering in the night time, possession of burglarious tools, larceny over $250 and an outstanding warrant from Roxbury District Court.

Topics will include updates on the new police station, current programs and crime trends. We also plan to continue presentations on crime scene evidence, patrol support initiatives and much more.

Watertown Square back to normal
Tuesday, October 21st, 2008The traffic lights are now functioning in Watertown Square. An overhead MBTA power line had come loose and was hanging low. This disabled power for the electric buses causing two of them to become stuck in the middle of the intersection. The traffic lights were placed in flash mode while an MBTA work crew re-attached the loose wire.
