The Police Department in partnership with the Department of Public Works have made it possible for five new School Zone speed signs to be installed, one in each school zone. These signs are radar speed signs and will display the speed of oncoming vehicles as they enter the school zone. Vehicles traveling over the posted 20 MPH speed limit will see the warning “Slow Down” displayed on the LED readout. School zone speed limits will be in effect and strictly enforced between 7 AM and 4 PM in each school zone.
