Pedestrian struck on Arsenal Street

On Thursday January 17, 2008 at 7:11 PM, Watertown Police and Fire Departments responded to the intersection of Arsenal St and Beechwood Ave on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Preliminary investigation found that a 57 year old male Newton resident was struck by a Ford Taurus operated by an 82 year old male Sudbury resident. The victim was transported to the Beth Israel Hospital with serious head injuries. This accident is currently being investigated by the Watertown Police Department and the Mass. State Police Accident Reconstruction Team.

Bank Robery Arrest Made

On Saturday 1/5/08, Watertown Police arrested Paul Cote, a former resident of watertown was arrested for the the bank robbery at Belmont Savings Bank.

Thefts of GPS units on the rise

There has been a marked increase of thefts of GPS units while shoppers are in the malls. Shoppers should remove the GPS from sight and place articles in the car in the trunk so as to avoid having their cars broken into.

Alternate Parking for residents

The Traffic Division will provide any Watertown resident with a location for off-street parking in the event that a resident has no other option for all night parking.  This is for Watertown residents only and additional information can be obtained by calling Sgt.
